Little hands. BIG beginnings.

In Mota-Ulun, Timor-Leste a young child sits on the ground carefully coloring a picture of a tree in the Garden of Eden. Nearby, another child is just as absorbed in his own work.

The words on their coloring sheets are simple: “He created the skies and the trees.”
But for these children, this is about more than coloring.

Even the youngest are eager to participate. Their concentration as they color these pictures is a small but beautiful glimpse of what happens when children are given the opportunity to explore, learn, and discover something new.

Our local team travels from Dili, making the difficult journey into the mountains and hiking to reach the community. Week after week, they return to teach, encourage, share simple snacks, and build relationships with children and families.

Through these simple lessons, children are beginning to learn English while being introduced to stories and truths from the Bible and the love of Jesus. A picture, a few words, a caring teacher who takes the time to come—all of these can become the beginning of something much bigger.

That's why access matters.

These children cannot simply walk down the road to a classroom. Their opportunities depend on people being willing to make the journey to them.

You may never sit beside these children on the ground or see the care they put into their coloring. But you are part of the reason someone is there to teach them.

THANK YOU for helping us reach children in places where opportunities are limited—but the potential for growth is so great.❤

One child. One lesson. One faithful visit at a time.

Together, we're helping plant seeds that we pray will continue to grow for years to come.
