Noto Was the Bridge...

We served alongside NPO Hope Ishikawa, Pastor Ken Ito, Pastor Cho, and others who were already faithfully caring for people whose lives had been devastated by disaster.

We painted a new church plant, shared meals, served in temporary housing, prayed, laughed, worked—and built friendships.
Those relationships were just the beginning.

Today, they are opening doors we never could have opened ourselves.

As devastating flooding has once again affected numerous communities in Japan, Ken and others we have come to know are responding with practical help and compassion. This week, our dear friend Ken returned to Noto with Pastor Cho and another missionary team from Singapore.

This is what happens when God's people are united in heart and compassion for people!

We may not be able to go everywhere or do everything ourselves—and we don't have to. We can come alongside people God has already positioned there. Together, we are a part of something much bigger.

We've learned: Your gifts do MORE than meet a need. 
     They opens doors.

We are so grateful for everyone who helped us take that first step into Noto! The story continues in ways we never could have planned.
